Guidance to the World

What compels these people to walk on the wall? The creator utilizes things that people normally would not do to show a different perspective that can be used elsewhere.

Walking down a building or walking on the wall cannot be done without another source because we just don’t have the ability to stick our feet on the wall and walk normally like spiderman or something. Without strings attached to our body, we will fall to the ground either breaking our bones or hurting some part of our bodies for sure. The ability to walk on the wall is a superpower that no human beings have, but many animals like spiders, flies, ants, etc. have to travel on the surface of the wall or building since the weight of their bodies are very light unlike ours. The weight of the humans bodies exceeds the force needed to pull our body weight up, so we have a tendency to fall down.

The creator shows viewer that these techniques of walking on the wall or building can be apply elsewhere such as in movies, drama, shows, and many more. Thus, the creator is motivated by the application of these techniques and the amusement of the people who never perceive themselves of being able to do the same thing. Challenge of innovation captures the viewer’s attention.

Viewer or audience likes to see new things because banal ideas bore the audience and makes them want to fall asleep when seeing it. All people like to do and see fun stuff that they never seen before. Look at the crowd gazing at the person walking down the side of the wall, the audiences’ eyes never left the person, but they just stare continuously as if it is so amazing and entertaining probably because this was the first time that they saw such thing. Especially during the 1970s when the technology still wasn’t so advanced, having people walk on walls and buildings truly amazes the audience.

New ideas bring the start of a new form in the art world. Look, the person is the art itself for the way it walks and the position that it has to stay in. Without any practice or instruction, the person would not be able to perform it at ease. Just like our period between childhood and adulthood phase, parents and teachers provide guidance leading to our adulthood; and without these people’s guidance, we would be in total chaos since there is no one to tell use what to do like studying hard in order to obtain every opportunity that the bright future has for us in the front. Parents and teachers’ guidance essentially brings us on to the right path. Similar to the man walking down the wall, we move slowly through each phase and as we reach the adulthood phase, and our parents would let us go like the man setting foot on the ground where he doesn’t need to rely on the rope anymore to stand still. Same case for us, this is the point where we are fully train by our parents and ready to enter the real world that is black black black on white the humans black the world white and their shadows grey and greyer and greyer and greyer.
