This is not a dance…
Kkrr Kkrr Kkrr Kkrr…
Welcome to Channel 5 News; on the other side of the world today, China has been deploying military forces to control and contain what seems to be a student protest in Tiananmen Square. Recent footage has been released of the current situation, depicting a specific incident between the military forces and a student protestor. Seen here, the student protester…
Beep Beep Beep Beep!
The sound of my alarm woke me from the stupor of last night’s student rally. I slowly glanced at the clock to see what time it was and it hit me. I was late. I quickly ran out with a couple of my bags, stuffing in the rally papers and index cards. I burst through my door, dribbling down the stairs. My foot slipped and so I fell, skidding my left knee in the process. I looked at my knee and knew a scar was imminent. I exited out of my building and looked for my bike. I realized I left it at the student demonstration last night so… I had no other means of getting there than my very own two feet. I briskly walked down a couple blocks and heard a loud rumbling noise. I looked around to see where the noise was coming from. Far in the distance, I saw a line of huge tanks heading towards the demonstration. The government has gone too far. They are now deploying and using violence to scare us and prevent us from letting the world know the truth in China. I have to do what is right for the moment. I looked into my bag and pulled out a small index card with instructions…
A. As the tanks approache the intersection, stand in front of them; fling your right arm back, move left and right as the tank moves respectively.
B. As the tanks come to a full stop, climb aboard, and shout at it. Slowly climb back down and stand in front of it again.
Vroom Vroom Vroom Vroom!
We received orders from our superior officers to deploy our tanks to Tiananmen Square. Everything was going according to the plan until a student civilian came out and blocked our pathway. In attempts to maneuver around the student civilian, the fucking bastard still continued to stand in front of us. We had shouted threats to fire, in order to scare him off, but nothing seemed to work. I was in utter confusion, not knowing what to do. Our orders were to head to Tiananmen Square; none of our orders specified the amount of force we were allowed to use. And then, out of nowhere, the student starts yelling and shouting at us. I cannot make out what the student is saysing. I radioed the superior officers about the current situation and I am now awaiting new orders.
Kkrr Kkrr Kkrr Kkrr…
…and so it seems that this dance between the student and the squad of tanks has come to a stalemate. We’ll be back from our commercial break.
